日本発ミステリアス・ハウスレーベル「Mixtacy」第2弾。今回もシカゴハウスやGarageからCIty Popまでかつてのクラシックスにインスパイアされた未発掘のアンダーグラウンドアーティストによるカルトハウスを発掘。180g Vinyl Exclusive & DJ USE ONLY。
レコードラベルは、倉庫に眠っていたかつてのチープなハウス12インチを模倣した印刷の版ずれ＆かすれを再現。

Episode II :　困難な試練　〜This is a cult test〜

α2は少女である。夢見る彼女は狙われていた(The Dreaming Girl)。

名もない猫(α1)が舌を出すと、空にポップコーンの雨が爆ぜ、ペンギンは飛ぶことをあきらめ、泳ぐことを選んだ (Popcorn Protocol)。
おかげで彼らは小さな王国を得たが、今でも冷たい場所にしか生息できない(Penguin Nation )。

これは不器用な進化か、懸命な退化か。誰にもわからない。
縛られることは自由でもある。

では、翼を捨てたペンギン（α3）のように、縛られた彼女は何を捨てるのか。さあ逃げよう、記憶の彼方へ。

彼女の逃避行は、外つ国のかるた(KARUTA)というビニール製の遊戯媒体に刻まれた。失われた101首目（β）には、こう詠まれている。

ひととみつ
きこゑをともにす

ふたはただ
ひとのみをぞしる

べえたはみつにぞ
かかはるる

ゆゑにして
べえたとみつを
かけあはせば
まぜたのし

（α1とα3は聴覚を共有している
α2のみα1を知覚できる

Episode II: 〜This is a cult test〜

α2 is a girl. She is the Dreaming Girl. She was pursued. The nameless cat (α1) showed its tongue, and popcorn burst into rain across the sky. The penguins left the air and chose the sea (Popcorn Protocol). They gained a small kingdom, but they live only in the cold (Penguin Nation).

Was this clumsy change, or a wise retreat? No one knows. To be bound is also to be free. Like the penguins (α3) who gave up their wings, what will the bound girl give up?

Come, let us flee to the edge of memory. Her flight was written on a forgotten game of cards, "KARUTA," said to come from the Far East. Here is the lost 101st verse (β):

α1 and α3 share hearing.
α2 perceives only α1.
β touches only α3.
∴ β * α3 = mixtacy

After the first release sold out on pre-order despite being by a completely unknown artist, the mysterious house label from Japan, Mixtacy, now returns with its second release. Once again, it digs deep into cult house from undiscovered underground talent. 180g Vinyl Exclusive & DJ USE ONLY.

A1 is an update of a Chicago house anthem, once circulated as a cult promo only among close friends in Japan.
A2 is a psychedelic interlude, a chaotic mix of classic samples familiar from Moodymann, Green Velvet, and beyond.
B1 is a deep dig: an unreleased track that boldly reworks a cult Japanese City Pop gem into a slow balearic house cut.
B2 layers Garage Classic references over raw analog grooves, crafted entirely with hardware machines.
The label artwork faithfully recreates the off-register prints and smudges of cheap house vinyl labels long forgotten on warehouse shelves.

Mixtacy is:
An independent project by DJs, for DJs, and of DJs, based in Tokyo since 2024. Run and curated by YAMADAtheGIANT and his friends, their passion lies in updating classic house through modern underground artists. All tracks are designed for the dance floor and vinyl house DJs. Each track has been tested at underground parties by DJs before its release.
